I love words.

I love the written word.

The spoken word.

Words in art.

Decorating with words.

Working with words.

Add pictures

and the same group of words

can mean two completely

different things.

Case in point.

I have a little drawer

full of cool stuff.

Like tiny wooden dance posters.

And

tiny, red wooden guns

and

a tiny little diamond ring.

I was going to make a necklace

with just the wooden ticket

and  the tiny little engagement  ring.

I was going to call it

Last Dance With Mary Jane.

Like the Tom Petty song.

Charming.

Right?

The story in my head was

Tom asks Mary Jane

to marry him at the dance.

That's why it would be her last.

Sweet.

Romantic.

Then one of the tiny red guns fell out.

Like this.

Last Dance With Mary Jane.

Now,

it means something altogether different.

I guess I won't be putting
THIS on Etsy.
