I got up, well, not terribly early this morning.
I made these earrings.
Then, of course,
I needed to photograph these earrings.
Since I don't yet own a light box
and I was relying on the
not-so-great Chicago Morning Grey light
and I needed props to pop the color
I improvised.
First I tried
this Alice card I made.
ummm.....
This became like a surreal version of
Where's Waldo.
Not good.
Right.
Nothing says cool and funky like a
CHEESE GRATER!~
perhaps, not.
Then I found
my
Mickey Mouse
Jazz Hands !
(Technically it's only one hand)
I popped it into an empty wine bottle.
Which, I'd like to point out,
was not my breakfast this morning.
Back to the MM Jazz hand
It cracked me up!
This is too darn funny!
I took MM Jazz Hand outside
and unceremoniously plopped it in the snow.
This just makes me smile.
Next, I thought I'd add some class.
Yes.
Class.
To a plastic rubberized Mickey Mouse Jazz Hand.
I popped it into a crystal candlestick holder.
See!
This screams
famous la-te-da store
where they sell things in a
pretty blue box
don't you think?
Maybe not.
This kind of looks like
a trailer pic
from a cheezy horror film
Attack of the 50 Foot Earring Wearing
JAZZ HAND!!!
bwahahahahahaha................
THE END (ear shattering applause)

Pleased to see that you neglected to use the cheese grater that can give you tetanus. ;-)
Good move.
LOL!! This post seriously cracked me up! Thanks for the laugh, and for your great sense of humor :)
The things you did with the Yazz hands was yazzt great (I know -it is a bad joke but couldn't resist it).
Hi Kath
You are too funny, wishing you would link up your jewelry projects with my Sunday Studio party! They are great
Wait...something is shining in my eyes... I remember, I saw it in AZ... oh ya, the sun!
Blessings today

Yes, quite classy. And fabulous! (since Mickey is a guy mouse, and if he is wearing earrings and doing jazz hands, he might say they were fabulous)
Oh Kathy! Thank you so much for the chuckle!!! I love your "Adventures in Prop Hunting"! So cute!! BTW, I love the earrings!
Thanks also for your visit to The Tearoom! I adored your comment and left one for you there as well!!
Hope the rest of your day is fun!!!

Oh my you crack me up! I can just see you in the snow taking photos ( hope it wasn't a public place)!!! Can't stop laughing but want you to know I love the earrings!
Omg....you are a riot, Kathy! It just kept getting funnier!
Beautiful earrings, though....even thru the zaniness...haha!
I'm happy to read and see you haven't lost it, your sense of humor that is...I hope Mrs. Kravitz wasn't peering out of her window facing your yard... blogland can't afford you MIA.

The MM jazz hand was a BRILLIANT idea! Who needs sun when you have a MM appendage???!!! OMG! Thanks for the chuckle this morning -- and BTW, your earrings are gorgeous!!! Hugs, Terri xoxo
Hey you did a great job on all the earrings you made. The hand in the snow was perfect. I saw you out there in the back yard, you could use new pajamas huh? Just kidding everyone!
OMG you are too funny and started my day out right, with a good laugh! I too often spend an inordinate amount of time figuring out how to display what I'm photographing best... putting it here... there... everywhere. My Family probably now believes I am losing it *winks* as I'll be laying outside on the ground trying to get just the right angle for that 'staged' or not so staged perfect shot of something! *LOL* But this new Art Form of exploring photography for the benefit of my Blog has been a blast and a life altering experience that is enriching my life. You go girl...

The hand sort of looks like a little rabbit, maybe one from a Japanese comic or something :) Love the earrings, and that film sounds like it would be brilliant - especially with you directing it. It'd be a cult classic! Anyway, hope you are well my friend and have a lovely night!

Your post made me smile. The earrings are really great!
