Somerset Studio

In March of 1999 I picked up this magazine. 
 I sat in the parking lot at my daughter's middle school 
 in my car and I read it from cover to cover. 
I remember that day so clearly
 I couldn't believe what I was seeing. 

-I still have that copy-

This was more than just a magazine.
 It was amazing. 
 It was different. 
 It was not just rubber stamps!

There were collages
and altered objects.
Art I knew I loved
But I didn't know where to find it.
I wondered then what it would be like
to see something you made
in this magazine.
Over a year ago
I made a bunny collage,
and a card,
and I sent it with a wish.

This week,
I walked out to the mailbox...
Look what was inside!
I made this.

This is soooo fantastic, congrats!!!!!!
I remember when I first laid my eyes on a somerset magazine, I was HOOKED! HOOKED I say. Oh mt gosh, I have so many. One day I walked into a moving sale where I purchased approximate. 25 of them for 10 dollars. I would never get rid of a single one!!
