Late For Work

I have to be to work at 9:00 a.m.
This is not hard because I live less than a mile from the library where I work.
Lately, I've been cutting it really close.
Almost late in fact.
Close.

I've been making jewelry.
Necklaces.
Soldered necklaces of Dorothy.
Soldered necklaces with Glinda.
I taught myself how to do the rosary beads.
I've been adding that to
repurposed jewelry
to create something entirely new.
I love doing that.
And NOW for something
completely different.
A little touch of steampunk..
( a nod to Monty Python)

A little touch of romance with a snappy remark from Mae West.

Earrings made with Czech glass beads.
I am so addicted to these beads.
They are just gorgeous in the sun.
The problem is,
there ain't much sun
in Chicago in the winter.
See how pretty!
One more.
I love these beads.
The sun comes in my kitchen window like this
at approximately 8:45 in the morning.
This is the perfect time
to take pictures of
Czech bead jewelry.

And THAT
is why
I'm almost late to work
every
morning.

A little music for you.

Your jewelry is fantastic!! I particularly like the ones with the pictures on the front and the "naughty" quotes on the back. It's like this nice respectable jewelry is hiding a little secret. ;) Love it!

Beautiful, beautiful jewelry. I love the first ( and last ;-)) one so much! I actually think they all are lovely and very clever.

Perfectly understandable. Give your boss a nice pair of earrings or one of those fantastic necklaces and perhaps..... you'll get a hall pass.
