Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow

Does this look good to you, right now?
How 'bout this?

It's been pretty hot and steamy this summer through most of the 50 states.
I thought I'd remind everyone just how "delightful" winter can be.
I hate winter.
and snow..
and ice..
and chiseling it off my windshield.
AND
wearing a
coat
hat
mittens
scarf
thick socks
shoes,
and boots.
BUT!
I like Christmas.
Lookee at what I found this weekend.
This little guy.
And this little angel who for some reason reminds me of Mae West.
Remember Mae West?
"Is that a banana in your pocket or are you just glad to see me?"
Now, of course.
THIS little angel would never say such things.
Although, she is sporting a fair amount of hussy makeup.
hmmm...
I love the way she's shaved her eyebrows and penciled them in.
That way she can always appear interested in whatever you are saying!
(Apologies to Fannie Flagg.  I stole that from her)
This caroler is ignoring the whole sordid situation.
Trying to concentrate on singing her
ho, ho, ho's from the song
(remember, I already have issues with that song)
"Who you calling HO?"
says our lovely lady wearing purple.

They all reside amicably enough on this wreath.
Not for long.
I'll be popping those babies off
for some other craft project.
Along with that snazzy aqua tree, I found these glass beads.

I also snagged this cute little Santa and white flocked reindeer.
I have quite a few flocked reindeer.  Lots actually.
Ummm..probably too many.
Maybe
bordering on obsessive.
yeah.
probably
obsessive is the correct word.

So, when it's oppressively hot,
and the thermometer is about to pop.
remember to sing,
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.
It'll cool you right down.
If that doesn't work,
knock back a cool beverage,
sit in a pool or under a sprinkler
and enjoy the summertime!
Winter and snow will be here before we know it.

LOL! I love your little friends and what they are thinking and saying, Kathy! My mother's favorite Mae West expression was "Peel me a grape!" And mine is "There are easier ways to get money than marrying it." LOL! She was a font of quotes.

I did a post today about your giveaway and wanted you to know. I am still loving my goodies. You are SO clever! And this post speaks to that.

BTW, Mae West looks like some little characters that used to hang around on our tree when I was a wee magpie. Wonder where they are???

And I don't mind the heat. It will cool down eventually. It always does. I just hope we're not as cold as we were last winter here in the Sunshine State.

XO,

Sheila :-)

Oh, I despise winter, but after the heat of this summer that first picture somehow looked refreshing to me. Oh boy!

I love all of your great little finds and you're right, that angel DOES look like Mae West!
